On Monday I got up early so that I could make it to my local HMV just before opening. I needed to get the new Incubus album as soon as possible. I was so excited. I bought the album and listened to it in the car on the way home. So, did it live up to my expectations?

This is Incubus‘ sixth studio album, titled Light Grenades. Their music covers a wide range of genres including funk metal, hard rock, progressive rock and their main genre of alternative rock. Since their debut album, Fungus Amongus, which they released independantly in 1995, I have been hooked on their music. Their eclectic mix of styles and grooves makes this band an addictive one to listen to. I wouldn’t say that I could listen to each album over and over again, but once I have listened to one of the albums I always get the urge to listen to one of their other ones.
